Original era manufacture. Triple etched, polished steel blade measuring 32 inches in length. The blade runs straight and true, with minor wear to the surface and original frosting remaining inside the etched panels. Mellow brass patina with deep decoration, including the lion headed pommel. Fish-skin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Sections of the wire have loosened over time, and there are wear spots in the fish-skin grip covering. There is a langet on each side on the guard, behind the obverse langet is the proof mark for the firm of Weyersburg-Kirschbaum. Blue finished steel scabbard with a brass suspension band and ring. Minor surface corrosion and denting to the scabbard surface.
