Original era manufacture. This great old helmet has a wonderful patina to its surface, likely not having been cleaned in the last 75 years or so. It represents an example of a Prussian Garde infantry officers helmet, with an enameled center to the wappen.No extra holes behind the wappen, both Prussian and national officers quality kokarden are present, with portions of the linked chinstrap remaining on each side.None of the liner or sweatband remains, the surface displays crazing and some finish loss, mostly on the rear of the helmet. The visors are not loose; overall the helmet looks great for display.
