Original era manufacture. Doeskin prussian blue tunic with red wool collar and Brandenburg cuffs.Tombak buttons throughout with removable Prussian Leutnant shoulder straps with gilt 52 regiment numbers. Black cloth lining with a tailors tag in the collar, halfbelt and white striped sleeve lining. The cuffs are interesting in that they can actually be buttoned and unbuttoned, a carry over feature from waffenrocks of earlier times when the fashion was to leave the lower button undone. The tunic is quite clean, with no moth holes, just a few very minor spots of surface mothing. The cuff panels are piped in blue, which is incorrect for the 52nd Regiment,their piping was white. Likelya previous owner slipped these shoulder straps onto this tunic for display.Size about a 38 regular.
