Original period manufacture.First pattern S98 bayonet withone piece wood grips, chromedsteel patina finish to the guard, pommel and scabbard fittings. The unmarked chromed steel blade is very clean, no issues beyond some light runner wear. Scattered staining and plating lifting to the other metal fittings. Scabbard body is sound, stitching is tight and provides a pretty decent fit to the blade, small 3 mm gap between the throat and bottom of the guard.
