Original era manufacture. A sound example made at the Erfurt arsenal, a bayonet which saw every day of WWI. Crown and Erfurt name on the ricasso, crown W 08 on the spine, unit marked on the guard 3.J.2.33 (3rd Jager Bn, 2nd company, 33rd weapon). No flashguard on the grip, correct for this early bayonet, sound original grips displaying service wear and use. The metal components of the bayonet have been cleaned and now is shown in the "white".
