Original era manufacture. A common enough pattern sword when found with the typical Prussian marked guard, however, the other Kingdoms and Duchies issue swords are much more scarce. Overall the sword is in fair condition, showing extensive surface corrosion on the blade, but retains a very nice and clear imperial cypher on the obverse ricasso. The ornate gilded brass guard is in sound condition, which folds up on one side. Fragments of the leather covering remain on the grip with a single strand of wire remaining. Dent free steel scabbard with about 90% of it's original black paint finish remaining.
