Original era manufacture. I must admit to a soft spot in my heart (or head) for these old field caps, I really like them. Standard prewar blue wool cap with red band and piping for Infantry. The lining shows issue marks to several different units and is quite dark and soiled from age. The exterior of the hat also shows considerable wear with scattered mothing especially on one side. The national cockade is held in place by a length of thin copper wire and we have provided a prong-back Prussian example until you find the correct one. This old hat needs some love but still shows loads of coolness.
