Original era manufacture. OK, so this is a first for us, likely ranking right up there in rarity with a Knights Cross...at least! Seriously, for those with an appreciation of the rare and mysterious, this has to be an unusual medal.  30 mm gilt plancet with a nice parade mount ribbon. Rhine-Mosel Region. Mothing to the backing cloth of the ribbon.
