Original era manufacture. A very sound example of a rather rare Reichs Revolver Holster which was modified to fit the newly adopted P08, Luger automatic pistol in 1911. The brown leather holster displays a nice luster to the surface with a 1911 date inkstamp into the underside of the flap. One of the belt loops shows a period repair, being of thinner construction and secured with rivets instead of stitching. During the modification, a spare magazine pouch and a pouch for a loading tool were added. Included with the holster is an unmarked blue steel tool which was in the tool pocket at the time of our purchase. The holster is not crushed or oiled, the stitching is quite sound for it's age.
