Original period manufacture. A very clean example featuring a double etched blade maker marked with the King & Knights Helmet logo of WKC on the ricasso. The plated steel blade measures 31 inches in length, runs straight and true with etched floral panels on each side. On the obverse a panoply of a drum, fire helmet, ladder and lantern appear. No nicks in the cutting edge, two small spots of staining appear on the reverse side, overall very bright and clean surface. A thin black leather bumper is in place at the base of the blade. Nickel finish alloy guard and pommel, fish skin wrapped grip bound with triple strand silver wire. Unbroken black leather scabbard with two suspension rings mounted to nickel alloy fittings.
