Original era manufacture. The first pattern stamped brass eagle wappen worn on the tall M1842 pickelhauben. This eagle features the dramatically upswept wings and lack of the Mitt Gott fur Koenig und Vaterland bandeau. The wappen uses two brass split brads on its reverse to secure it to the helmet. The orb is missing from this example as shown, however we are including a well worn 1895 pattern wappen in the price with an orb to use as a donor. Should be a fairly easy solder job, then ready for display.
