Original era manufacture. A service quality bayonet with a 19.5 inch polished steel blade. Maker marked on the ricasso, Gebruder Simson Suhl, on the spine GS, there is a crown E proof and two cursive letters R on the pommel and a crown E proof on the blade tang.Pressed leather grips with a checkered design, secured with five steel rivets. Clean condition overall, with some minor evidence of old cleaned corrosion, two small nicks in the cutting edge, the point remains sharp. No scabbard.
