Original era manufacture. A large size printed wool flag, or standard, flown when a member of the Prussian Royal House (other than the King, Queen, or Crown Prince) was present. It's design predates the unification of the German states into the German Empire in 1871, as the later era Imperial Standards have the date 1870 in the lower arm of the Iron Cross. The flag measures roughly 6x7.5 feet, with numerous rents to the fabric and some rather amateurish repair attempts visible. The colors are faded from age and wear, but still remains a very imposing looking flag, and would imagine to be rather a rare item.My intention was to frame this up for display, hang it on the wall and enjoy it. Like many good intentions, time and effort has ensured this project never saw fruition. Now something else has been added to the collecting jumble, so this wonderful old flag is now for sale.
