Original era manufacture. A very fine quality embroidered insignia as worn ona Norddeutsche Lloyd officers hat.Gold wire embroidery on a dark blue wool backing material, with a blue cloth covered reverse. Normal age and wear with no issues. No idea as to its age but quite possibly is wartime or earlier.Founded in 1857, NDL merged with Holland America Line in 1970.
