Original era manufacture. An interesting hat wool twill body with dark green wool piping and matching color band. Pressed fibre visor with a patent leather chinstrap. The lining is of a painted orange oilcloth with a similar color oil cloth sweatband. At present, it has WWI era Prussian & National cockades, but you can see evidence of where larger insignia was installed at one time. Size marked 56 1/2. Normal age and wear, displays well.
