Original era manufacture. A gray canvas covered knapsack, introduced in 1915 in an attempt to conserve leather.The pack is quite sound, the leather edge trim and other leather straps are sound, and strapped in place on the interior of the pack is an original matching color tentpole bag.Inside the pack is a rather blurry KBAG issue stamp with the addition of a WWI date, again blurred. On the underside of one of the leather shoulder straps is another Garde depot marking, BAG.
