Original period manufacture. White piped feldgrau strap displaying minor moth damage on the reverse. There were two 29th regiments in the Imperial German Army, one was Bavarian which served with the 217th Division on the Eastern Front. The other served with the 16th Division and served primarily in the West save for a short period in the East.
