Original period manufacture. Even steel patina overall showing a cleaned pitted surface to the scabbard, guard and pommel. The lock button works properly, grips are in decent condition with the body of the scabbard showing denting on the obverse side. Sounds like a beater doesn't it. No here's the good part, the blade is very nice, again a steel patina but no corrosion or sharpening issues and clear makers marks and issue stamps visible. Better still the bayonet guard and scabbard throat are unit marked to the 13th Hussars (Husaren Regiment Konig Humbert von Italien Nr.13)
