Original era manufacture. Standard issue 98/05 bayonet with Crown W 17 markings on its spine, and the Holler name on the ricasso. Dark steel corrosion finish over the scabbard, guard and pommel, but no deep pitting, sound original wood grips. The blade displays a mix of bright steel and patina with clear markings, spine and ricasso. There are a few very shallow nicks in the edge, and some deeper nicks on the spine edges. There are certainly cleaner examples of this pattern bayonet out there, still sound enough, and not bad for the price.
