Original era manufacture. Very clear, sepia toned images of Admiral von Spee and his two sons Otto and Heinrich in full uniform. In the waning months of 1914, Admiral von Spee commanded a German cruiser flotilla at the Battle of the Falkland Islands. His ship, SMS Scharnhorst and the ships of his two sons, SMS Nurnberg and Gneisenau, in addition to the cruiser Leipzig, were sunk with great loss of life. Over 2200 German sailors and officer met their fate that day including Admiral von Spee and his sons.
