Original period manufacture. Lot of eight, 5x7 black and white photographs showing the trench systems near Blangy France in 1917-1918. Flieger Abteilung 288 is identified as the unit charged with taking the photos and on one the names of the German Pilot and Observer are noted. Normal handling and wear. Photographs similar to these were used to produce maps for the German ground units fighting in the area.
