Original era manufacture. Brass trim enlisted helmet with no extra holes behind the wappen. Visor stitching is tight and the body is not crushed. The rear of the helmet is pushed in a bit from improper storage however the leather is pliable and would display well on a form. An old tag, written in French, is glued inside the helmet which identifies the helmet to the 122nd Rgt and states that the helmet was found at Verdun. The tag looks old but I haven't had the time to check and see if the 122nd rgt fought at Verdun.
