Original era manufacture. Souvenir medal produced to recognize the accomplishments of the famous WWI siege howitzer Grosse Berta (Big Bertha) during WWI. The reverse of the medal reads as follows, "Conqueror of the fortresses of Luttich, Namur, Maubeuge, Antwerpen, i Weltkried 1914". The small artillery shell reads "Greetings from the hard-working Berta". Planchet measures 28 mm in width.
