Original era manufacture. An unusual double cased set of an Iron Cross 2nd Class, and Baden Service medal, in a wonderful fitted case. Maker marked suspension ring on the EK2, which looks to be SW, and with a length of original ribbon held in place by a thin strip of white silk in the lid lining. German silver, Baden Service medal with its ribbon held in place by the same method. The case itself is the real hero here, being of a black leatherette covered wooden body , witha full size emblem of the obverse portion of an EK2 set into the lid. Maroon velvet lined interior with a covered hinge. Of note, the Baden award is an equivalent to the Iron Cross 2nd Class.
