German WWI, Elaborate Soldiers Cased Memorial Set

Original era manufacture. A very moving example of one families tribute to their fallen soldier. It measures 9.5x11x.5 inches, of a black cardboard box and frame with a pressed paper EK1 on the top. Inside is a green colored pressed paper wreath with the image of the solder inside. Red-black-white ribbons extend downwards to embrace another pressed paper EK1, with a laurel spray below with more patriotic ribbon. In gold print can be seen Erinnerung an den grossen Krieg, and on the smaller ribbon, Weltkrieg 1914-1915. Light age and wear.
