Original period manufacture. White piped feldgrau strap with red chain stitched numbers. Initially this regiment served with the 92nd division in the East until August 1917 when transferred to serve with the 77th Reserve division on the Western Front. On September 12th 1918, the 77th Reserve division, with the 419th regiment, engaged American troops of the 90th (Texas-Oklahoma) Infantry Division. The 77th suffered heavily in prisoners lost, the prisoners stating that they had been cut-off by the American barrage.
