Original period manufacture. Feldgrau wool field cap, known as a Kratchen, late war with a feldgrau rather than red cap band. White cloth lining and sweatband with faint, yet fairly readable period inkstamps. One appears to be a standard bekleidungsmarke with a date of perhaps 1918. The other larger one looks to have a date of perhaps 1923 or 1928. No real moth issues to report, but it has seen considerable service use. Single national colors cockade on the upper portion of the hat.
