Original era manufacture. M1889 pattern Infantry officers sword by WKC, with a chromed steel blade measuring 30 inches in length. The tip has been purposefully rounded, perhaps to be used by a cadet, or given as a toy to a youngster at some point in the past. This guess is borne out by the amount of nicks in the cutting edge, perhaps earned in some backyard sword fights. Otherwise the blade is straight, clean and bright. Nice cast brass grip with a pleasing mellow patina. Fish skin grip with triple wire binding, missing the cypher. Very nice blue steel scabbard which has a few dents along it's length.
