Original era manufacture. M1889 pattern Infantry officers sword with a plated steel blade measuring 34 inches in length. The blade is straight, clean and bright, replacement leather bumper at the base of the blade. Cast brass grip with a pleasing mellow patina. Fish skin grip with triple wire binding with the cypher. Very light denting to the steel scabbard with a blue finish. For some reason the suspension ring was removed, but neatly done, not broken. The throat screws are not present.
