Original era manufacture. Copper covered ceramic statue which stands 21 inches in height, with the subject being a WWI era German Sailor with a Torpedo Division cap tally. The motto on the base roughly translates to Loyal Unto Death. The figure has an iron frame with a ceramic filled body covered in a thin sheet of copper. There is some corrosion and lifting of the copper sheeting, mostly near the base of his neck and between his feet and one of the ribbons on the rear of his hat looks to be missing. Still a wonderful display piece. Shipping weight about 11 pounds.
