Original period manufacture. Bit of an unusual exampleof the WWI German trench, or fightingknife with its large, oval shaped steel guard.Typical serrated surface to the wooden grips, crown proof and makers name on the ricasso. The blade is bright, the tip is slightly rounded, with evidence of period sharpening to the blade edge. Sound black painted steel scabbard with most of its finish remaining intact, supple brown leather belt loop and pommel strap.
