Original period manufacture. Polished steel single edge blade which measures just under 5.5 inches in length. Simple black painted steel guard. Ribbed wood slab grips, the left side of which is stamped with what look to be unit markings, S.Hn.III.8.98. Normal age and wear, no scabbard.
