Original period manufacture. A very clean example illustrated in Vol. III, page 92, of German Bayonets by Carter. Bright finished blade with fullers on each side and measuring 317 mm in length. Two piece steel guard with a partial muzzle ring. All steel grip with the number 4752 stamped on the right side, possible Imperial proof on the guard. Sheet steel scabbard with a black painted finish and made to imitate decorated leather.
