Original period manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 12 inches in length. Even steel patina finish with scattered areas of clouding and staining no corrosion pitting. Crown proof on the blade spine, otherwise unmarked. Steet steel scabbard with remnants of an old black paint finish. Pommel lock button works properly. See Page 39 in Vol. III of Carters book, German Bayonets, for a similar example.
