Original era manufacture. All steel construction bayonet with traces of the original feldgrau paint remaining on the grip, steel scabbard displays a mix of steel patina and feldgrau mixed with black paint.Brightish blade, with evidence of an old sharpening, tip is sound with light staining from age and use, no nicks in the edge. Sound original leather frog, with a well-worn original wartime bayonet knot wrapped through the belt frog loop.
