Original period manufacture. All steel construction featuring a cast steel one piece grip, and a partial muzzle ring. Polished steel blade measures 12 inches in length, with an even patina finish, blurred crown proof on the blade spine.Sheet metal scabbard with throat screw present, denting to the surface from service use and wear. The white tag marked EB 23A, indicates a reference to Carter's book on series on German bayonets.
