Original period manufacture. All steel construction Ersatz bayonet with a sheet steel grip, 9.75 inch polished steel blade made without fullers. Stamped proof on the blade spine, and a mix of numbers and letters on the guard and grip.  Which appear to be 3.G. unk. 4. 333.The blade is clean, measuring 9.75 inches in length, and may have been shortened, perhaps by the Turks. Dark feldgrau paint finish on the grip, with a swept-back muzzle ring peculiar to this model. Replacement scabbard which was with the bayonet at the time of our purchase.
