Original period manufacture. All steel construction featuring a stamped steel two piece grip, and an upswept guard. Polished steel blade measures 12.5 inches in length, with an even patina finish, crown proof on the blade spine.Sheet metal scabbard with throat screw present, denting to the surface from service use and wear. The white tag marked EB50, indicates a reference to Carter's book on series on German bayonets.
