Original era manufacture. Better quality ersatz bayonet showing a design similar to the standard S98/05 Butcher pattern bayonet. One piece all steel grip with a serrated pattern on each side. Parallel shaped blade without the swell at the tip like a normal 98/05 bayonet. FAG style metal scabbard with a mix of black and feldgrau paint surface. It shows a few shallow dents but is quite sound. Scarce example of a WWI ersatz bayonet.
