Original era manufacture. A pressed, one piece felt bodied helmet made without front visor trim or rear support. Brass chinstrap mounting lugs, eagle wappen and non-removable spike and base. The eagle wappen looks to be original to the helmet as no extra holes are in the body. There is a tear in the felt material on the left side corner and atcenter edge of the rear visor. No liner. Shows considerable wear and use over the past 100 years but the body is not crushed or broken, dark patina finish to the brass.
