German WWI Fighting Knife & Scabbard

Original era manufacture. Classic WWI pattern fighting knife, serrated wooden slab grips, single edged, 5,5 inch bright steel blade and a black painted steel scabbard. The blade is clean, with a service sharpened edge and a slight dulling of the tip. The grips are sound with no issues, simple steel guard with a black paint finish. The scabbard is free of dents and has a simple brown leather belt loop. There is a hole on the front side of the belt loop, likely for a pommel strap which is long gone. The pommel strap really wasn't needed in this case as the blade retention springs inside the scabbard hold the blade securely.
