Original era manufacture. Standard German gasmask intruduced in 1917. Leather facemask with a removable filter. The mask is quite pliable and the head harness is complete, filter is dated Aug.18. The carrying can is of feldgrau painted steel with a gloss black interior. Replacement lenses are in the lid compartment and a circular paper instruction sheet is in the bottom of the can. Only fragments of the carrying straps remain.
