Original era manufacture. Standard German gasmask intruduced in 1917. Leather facemask with a removable filter. The leather mask is quite pliable and the head harness is complete, but neckstrap is broken on one side where it connects to the mask. Feldgrau painted removable filter is dated 18.Juni.18. with a makers mark next to it. The bottom of the cannister shows some surface rust but is not rusted through and is quite sound. One of the eyepieces shows some surface damage but not pierced. No cannister.
