Original period manufacture. A very nicely executed, hand-carved wooden cane which measures just under 36 inches in length.It is a natural branch which has been straightened and has a snake carved in the act of wrapping itself around the body of the cane with thesnake's head forming part of the handle.The remaining portion of the handle depicts a small lizard basking in the sun, likely the intended prey of the snake. A ribbon bandeau proclaims WELT 1915 KRIEG with an Iron Cross on the opposite side.
