Original era manufacture. A very nice example with no enamel damage, and residing happily in its original box of issue. Silvered alloy finish, with an enameled obverse, awarded by the city of Hamburg. This cross represents one of the three crosses awarded by the Hanseatic Cities, the other two being Bremen and Lubeck. The medal comes with its removable parade mount ribbon, and ribbon bar. The white cardboard box of issue displays the symbol of the City of Hamburg on its cover. The box is in basically sound condition, however the upped end of the lid is missing. Simple white cotton lining. This award is an equivalent award to the Iron Cross 2nd Class, as awarded by the city of Hamburg.
