Original period manufacture. One complete tag with markings on both sides, and half of an additional tag, matching the name on one side of the complete tag. Two units are identified, Bavarian 16th Infantry Regiment, and the Bavarian 2nd Infantry Regiment. The 16th Bavarian Infantry formed part of the 11th Bavarian Infantry Division, which saw combat against the AEF during WWI, in particular the US 1st Infantry Division in July 1918.
