German WWI Infantry EM Issue Feldgrau Cap with Camouflage Band

Original era manufacture. Issue feldgrau wool cap with a red wool band and piping. White cotton lining which is marked to the XV Armee Korps and dated 1916. The cotton camouflage band has faded to a tan color and is hand stitched to the band of the cap. On the front are a Wurttemberg and National cockades. While both are original pieces they have both been replaced at some point. The Wurttemberg example is incorrect for this Korps I believe with the Prussian example safety pinned to the side of the cap a better fit. There is some scattered mothing to the top of the hat and the interior shows wear and use. Honest original hat getting more and more difficult to find every year.
