Original period manufacture. A rather plain looking document, butregardless, of some minor historical importance.Awarded to an Ober-Jager, perhaps an Austrian soldier, attached to the Headquarters of the 5th Army, on Christmas Eve 1915. At that time the 5th Army was commanded by the Prussian Crown Prince, during thebuild-up prior to the opening of the Battle of Verdun in February of 1916.Further, the 5th Army fought American troopsin September of 1918 during the St.Mihiel offensive, and again in November of 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne offensive.Folded as shown, measuring roughly 6 x 8 inches, normal handling and wear.
