An example of the interesting manufacturing variety we can find in the WWI Iron Cross 1st Class.This example from our own collection, displays a blued finish to its magnetic core, is slightly vaulted, 800 silver marked on its reverse, and is secured to a zinc mounting plate by two octagon shaped securing nuts.Light surface corrosion on the iron core, normal age and wear overall.
