Original era manufacture. A scarce, wartime issue M1895 Infantry officers sword made by Coppel. Polished steel, service quality blade, measures 34 inches in length, running fairly straight and true. No issues beyond normal age and wear.Steel patina finish guard, ferrule and pommel cap. Turned wooden grip which is bound with double strand twisted wire. Crown proof on the pommel cap.Matching finish steel scabbard, with scattered denting along its length, with evidence of old cleaned surface corrosion. Both of the throat screws are missing.
